東京・中目黒のギャラリー・レストラン「depot」に於いて

本の出版記念を兼ねた個展を開催していたところ、

偶然立ち寄った米国・ニューヨークの有名情報誌編集者が絵を見て

「彼はエルジェの孫でありギー・ペラートの子供であり、

クラムの甥でありルスタルの弟である。

彼の右ポケットにはリキテンシュタインが

左ポケットにはポール・デイビスが入っている」

と評し、その場で連絡を取った、という逸話がある。

While holding a solo exhibition—also serving as a

celebration

for the publication of a book—at the gallery-

restaurant “depot” in Nakameguro, Tokyo,

an editor from a renowned magazine in New York

happened to drop by and, upon seeing the artwork,

made the following remark:

He is the grandson of Hergé, the child of Guy Peellaert,
the nephew of R. Crumb, and the younger brother of Loustal.
In his right pocket, he carries Roy Lichtenstein,
in his left, Paul Davis.

So struck was the editor that they made contact on the spot.
